NR job cuts

UK infrastructure owner Network Rail has announced it will lose a further 900 management, professional and technical jobs in order to reduce its cost base. The company hopes most will come through voluntary redundancy and bring staff numbers back to levels seen in 2017. More than 1000 applicants for voluntary redundancy had been rejected, though a similar number had been accepted.
