Ticket office hours proposal

-

SCOTRAIL is proposing to overhaul its ticket office opening hours at around 120 stations. The move is a result of more tickets being bought online or from machines.

The proposal has led to criticism from rail unions, which believe staffed stations make passengers feel safer. ScotRail says the proposal would not result in job losses, and a consultation has been carried out on behalf of the operator by Transport Focus. The results have not yet been released.
