Apprenticeships goal on target

HS2 predicts it will exceed its target of creating 2000 apprenticeship opportunities during the lifetime of the construction project, after confirming 825 apprentices were recruited within the first 18 months of work beginning.

A further 80 opportunities were due to be advertised by mid-February.
