-

SOLICITORS acting for the West Somerset Railway plc (WSR) and the Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust

Ltd (SDRT) concluded negotiations on January 20, that will result in an orderly exit from Washford, including SDRT’s three carriages, which are still to be relocated. SDRT has formally relinquished its occupation of the station building and signalbox at Washford, but will continue using the yard until November 30, 2023. WSR plc is recruiting volunteers to manage the station, which it is hoped will be open in time for the resumption of public services on March 19. The plc said it is reviewing options for how best to use the site in future.
