Lord Phil overhaul underway at Butterley

WORK on the overhaul of Grinsty Holdings’ Hunslet ‘Austerity’ 0-6-0ST Lord Phil (3883/1962) got underway at the Midland Railway – Butterley during the second week of February. The tank and cab were removed on February 8 in order to aid the stripping of the boiler for assessment. Grinsty Holdings’ other loco, Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0ST Falmouth Docks & Engineering Company No. 3 (3597/1926) is also undergoing overhaul at the Derbyshire line.
