DRS signs threeyear Tesco deal
TESCO has agreed a new threeyear deal with Direct Rail Services for the transport of goods for its supermarkets.
It builds on a decade-long relationship between the two companies and came just a month after DRS announced it was launching a twicedaily, seven days per week, refrigerated container service between Tilbury and Coatbridge for the retail giant. DRS says the partnership will see it continue to expand rail operations.
In addition to the Coatbridge workings, the agreement covers operations between Daventry and Mossend, Mossend and Teesport, two Daventry-Tilbury workings, Daventry-Wentloog, Daventry-Doncaster-Teesport and Mossend-Inverness.
