Angel acquires Readypower Group
ROLLING stock leasing firm Angel Trains has acquired the rail and infrastructure services organisation Readypower Group.
The group, which comprises three companies, provides specialised civil engineering, Road
Rail Vehicles for hire and associated support. It will continue to operate as an independent business and its branding and management team will also remain in place.
Operating from six hubs across the UK, Readypower has developed a role in modernisation of the railway network and is already involved in the Trans-Pennine route upgrading, electrification of the Midland Main Line and the Core Valley Lines Transformation project.
Angel says it will support Readypower’s growth and help it to realise its future potential by investing in the latest machinery and technology.
“We are both committed to the success of the
UK rail industry and by working together, we know we can make real progress in improving the network across the country,” explained Angel chief executive Malcolm Brown.
