Ex-DB Class 120s in private use with new colours
SEVERAL former DB Class 120 locos are now in private hands after DB withdrew all its remaining locos in 2021. Most in use with freight operators retain their often-faded DB red livery. Swiss private operator Widmer Rail Services has bought three locos for use in Germany: No. 120 145 now carries the company’s blue livery and No. 120 204 is expected to do so after overhaul. The third loco, No. 120 154, is being used as a source of spare parts. WRS No. 120 145 is seen at Ingolstadt Hbf on October 13.
