Fireless loco gifted to Vale of Berkeley

THE National Waterways Museum has gifted Andrew Barclay 0-4-0F No. 1 (2126/1942), together with three wagons, to the Vale of Berkeley Railway at Sharpness, where they have been in store for several years. The fireless locomotive had spent its entire working career at Castle Mead Power Station at Gloucester, where it operated until 1969.
