‘Deltic’ Alycidon to star at Severn Valley Railway diesel gala

THE Deltic Preservation Society’s newly restored Class 55 No. D9009 (55009) Alycidon will be attending the Severn Valley Railway’s May 19-22 diesel gala. Other guest locos announced so far are ‘Peaks’ Class 44 No. D4 Great Gable and Class 46 No. D182 (46045). Another guest loco is expected to join them and the resident fleet in operation for the event. Longterm visitor Class 31 No. 31466 will be running along with three Class 50s, Class 52s No. D1015 Western Champion, and D1062 appearing as No. D1040 Western Queen, Class 14 No. D9551 and Class 17 ‘Clayton’ No. D8568
