Eaglescliffe to get a facelift
A MUCH-needed redevelopment of Eaglescliffe station, Teesside, has moved a step closer with the release of new computer generated images of planned improvements.
The redevelopment is being led by the Tees Valley Mayor,
Ben Houchen, together with the Combined Authority, alongside Network Rail and station operator Northern.
The station will get a new western entrance to connect to a 120 space new car park, along with a new footbridge with lifts, replacing the existing pedestrian ramps.
A planning application has been submitted and if approved, the first phases of work would start in early summer. Funding of up to £8.5m will be provided by the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority, along with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Network Rail.
