£6.5m platform upgrade at Carlisle

UPGRADES to platforms 1, 2 and 3 at Carlisle have been completed by Network Rail, a project which has cost £6.5m to bring the platform surfaces to 21st century standards. Drainage has been improved, tactile paving installed and the platform-train gap reduced.
