Development around Brigg station

PLANS are at an early stage to develop the former goods yard and sidings in Brigg, Lincolnshire, and create living accommodation for the over55s. The site has suffered from fly-tipping and graffiti and the proposal is welcomed by the Independent Brigg Line Rail Group. In its heyday, the goods yard handled oranges imported from Seville for a local preserves manufacturer. The line still sees a service on a Saturday only.
