‘All-electric’ link to Edinburgh Airport

-

EDINBURGH Trams and coach operator Ember have created an ‘all-electric’ transport link between Dundee and Edinburgh.

Electric road coaches run by Ember already serve the park and ride stop at Ingliston and tickets issued for them are now also accepted on trams to and from the airport at no additional cost.

The fare from Dundee to the Airport is £7.50 and through tickets are also available from intermediate locations which are on the bus route.

“We are delighted to be working with Ember on this new initiative that will make it easier than ever for people to step off the UK’s first all-electric, intercity coaches and onto Edinburgh’s popular tram network, which has services every seven minutes to the airport,” said Edinburgh Trams managing director Lea Harrison.

Ember co-founder Keith Bradley added that it offered passengers a relaxed journey to the airport with a seamless interchange, commenting: “This type of integrated ticketing really gives passengers the best of both worlds.”
