Positive return for Model Rail Scotland

PASSPORT checks were in place, social distancing was observed, but Model Rail Scotland returned with a well-received exhibition. The exhibition was always going to be a little different to what we have seen before but, despite the limitations imposed on the organisers, the exhibits were the usual high standard, with Heljan and DCC Concepts launching their new-look exhibition stands at the show. Ian Porteous, exhibition manager, said: “Planning and organising the 2022 exhibition was certainly a roller-coaster ride for me and the team as we had to deal with so many unknowns. However, we got there and from the feedback received from visitors and exhibitors, our efforts have certainly paid off as everyone was happy to be back at a live exhibition.” One layout in particular that would see great media attention was the upside-down layout from Jennifer Kirk, who said: “This hopefully helps... bring back some fun.”
