Tanfield Railway reopens throughout

-

FULL line services resumed at the Tanfield Railway on April 15 after the Andrews House to Sunniside section reopened following an extended closure. The northern portion of the line had not been used by passenger services for over two years, initially as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and latterly owing to essential track repairs and platform work at Sunniside. Trains had been restricted to the Andrews House to East Tanfield section while the work was being carried out.
