EARM’s new line now in operation
THE East Anglian Railway Museum’s (EARM) 7¼in gauge railway was closed and dismantled in 2019.
Since then a new railway, with a station, signalbox and engine shed has been constructed in an adjacent field. The first phase opened in October 2020.
Two locos have been retained, steam Frederick, under overhaul, and battery electric Ricardo Lampwick. New coaches have been purchased and it is hoped to extend the line around the site with more locos acquired.
