KESR general manager to retire

SHAUN Dewey is to retire as general manager of the Kent & East Sussex Railway after seven years in the role. Mr Dewey’s departure date remained to be finalised at the time of going to press, with the closing date for applicatio­ns for his successor being May 31.

Mark Stuchbury is to oversee the transition and then hold the fort until a new person is in post. In addition to being a longstandi­ng KESR volunteer, Mr Stuchbury has held a number of senior posts in the rail industry.
