More rail via Channel Tunnel?

-

HAVING become a ‘preferred supplier’ for the German rail network, the recent completion by British Steel’s Scunthorpe plant of a five kilotonne order of 120m lengths of flat-bottomed rail for Deutsche Bahn has raised hopes of further such movements in future. Moved via the Channel Tunnel to DB’s Königsborn service centre, the rail will be used over the next year as part of a track renewal programme.
