GRANTED A GRAND:

The Northampton & Lamport Railway’s Ironstone Train Project has received a further boost after it was awarded a £1000 grant from Persimmon Homes Community Champions. As a result, fundraising is now 75% of the way to the £3000 target. It follows the £500 grant from another developer, Bloor Homes in the spring. Meanwhile, work on the wagons continues to progress. The first wagon, No. BB388612 (pictured) has been transformed from a rusting hulk.
