Bressingham objects to pylon route
THE trustees of Bressingham Steam Museum have formally objected to a proposed electricity pylon route which would pass almost directly over the museum, placing a significant proportion of the attractions, including the 2ft gauge Fen Railway and 15in gauge Waveney Railway, directly under the pylons.
Sustainability
The trustees say there would be serious implications for the future sustainability of the museum if a pylon were to be erected directly on or next to its railway lines, and it would not be possible to reroute the railways since the museum does not own the surrounding land. Bressingham is working with pylonseastanglia.co.uk in raising awareness of the pylon scheme and lobbying against what it views as a disruptive and potentially disastrous scheme. People are asked to sign the petition against the proposal.
