A ‘ROYAL SCOT’ RETURNS:

A Bassett-Lowke-type ‘Royal Scot’ 4-6-0 No. 6100 Royal Scot is the fourth steam loco to join the present roster of the 10¼in gauge Hastings Miniature Railway (RM Feb p68). Believed built c1971 by George Milligen of Norfolk, it appeared at the Ropley Miniature Railway’s June 25/26 steam gala prior to running at Hastings. No. 6100 heads its first train at Hastings on July 2. An identical loco, built by Bassett-Lowke in 1938 ran at Hastings 1948-1975.
