New points at Tyseley

-

A FOUR-day engineering possession in late June has seen new points and crossovers installed at Tyseley South Junction, enhancing the reliability for trains getting in and out of the maintenance depot and sidings.

During the closure, a deep clean of Birmingham Moor Street station was undertaken. Canopies, toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, concourse floors and beams were all cleaned, while the disused tracks were cleared of overgrown vegetation.

Volunteers from the Friends of the Shakespeare line also installed 11 large planters and replanted existing ones as part of work to improve the station ambience for passengers ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
