Sink hole line repaired

FOLLOWING the discovery of a sink hole under the single line between Kilmarnock and Barassie on June 4, repairs have been completed by Network Rail and the line reopened on August 1. An historic culvert collapsed, causing the hole. This has been replaced with a modern culvert.
