Shifting sand
DCRAIL’S first train loaded with sharp sand, bound for Chessington South, left Grain on July 20.
The train was stabled at Willesden ‘F’ Sidings overnight, before completing the journey to Chessington the following day.
The company expects services to increase as it develops the market for deliveries to Willesden and the Chessington railhead which was reopened by DCRail’s parent company Cappagh Group last December.
Construction fill, sand and gravel are the commodities which have so far been transported.
