Night Tube back on track

- COMPILED BY GRAEME PICKERING

FROM the evening of July 29, a full London Underground Night Tube service was restored for the first time since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Piccadilly line services returned from this date, following on from the resumption of the Night Tube on the Jubilee and Northern lines earlier this year, and on the Central and Victoria lines last November.

Transport for London says weekend passenger numbers on the Tube are regularly exceeding 85% of prepandemic levels. Since the return of the first Night Tube services, it has recorded

3.2 million exits and entries from stations served by the trains.
