RSG MAKES STUNNING RETURN:
Out of action since July 2017, when it failed while heading to Whitby with a North Yorkshire Moors service (see feature article last month), ‘Deltic’ No. D9000/55022 Royal Scots Grey returned to action with a main line tour on September 24. Intercity’s ‘Deltic Delight’ ran from Wolverhampton to Newcastle, out via Preston and back via York, and the now BR green-liveried loco is seen looking superb on the outward leg at Grayrigg, Cumbria.
