MOSSEND TO YORKSHIRE:
A new intermodal traffic flow has commenced between Mossend (north of Motherwell) and Doncaster iPort, involving 30 boxes being transported each way five days per week, GBRf being the traction provider. On September 22, Class 66 No. 66715 is seen preparing to leave the P D Stirling yard at Mossend with the 10.30 departure via Millerhill and the East Coast Main Line. The return working will run overnight, leaving Doncaster at around midnight and arriving Mossend at 06.30. Note the new boxes have curtain sides allowing for easier access by supermarket customers.
