Eurostar’s Kent decision criticised

-

A DECISION by Eurostar not to stop at stations in Kent for another two to three years has been criticised. The rail company said that trains going through Ebbsfleet and Ashford may have to be paused until 2025 to 2026. Eurostar services stopped calling at these stations at the start of the pandemic in 2020. Dartford Borough Council leader Jeremy Kite has described Eurostar’s decision as “very disappointing”, saying “Kicking this into 2025 and beyond is plain ridiculous. Eurostar has an obligation to deliver this.”
