ALCAN ‘DELTIC’:

Regarding your article about No. 55022 (‘25 Years of Main Line Preservation’, September issue), it was great to see all the photos of this wonderful machine which brought back happy memories. On page 49 it was briefly mentioned about working the Alcan tanks and I have attached a photograph taken on May 3, 2011 of it on these workings. Of note is the stain on the side from an oil leak.
