Accessible route ramps up

-

A project team has been appointed to manage the construction of the ramp which will provide an accessible route to the Didcot Railway Centre. The results of the ground boring have been received. This will enable the Great Western Society to contract a design engineer to produce working drawings, prior to going out for competitive costings. Due to the vast increases in costs, the original plan to us precast concrete segments has had to be dropped. The ramp will now be constructed using traditional poured concrete. It is hoped work will get underway in February.
