SOUTHERN LOCO ON SPA LINE:
The East Lancashire Railway’s SR Bulleid Pacific No. 34092 City of Wells visited the Spa Valley Railway as part of the Kent line’s 25th anniversary gala on August 27/28. The following weekend, No. 34092 operated in top-and-tail formation with Class 24 No. D5054 (24054) Phil Southern, also visiting from the ELR. The train is seen at the attractive station of Groombridge on September 4.
