TIPPLER EXCHANGE:
Recreating a scene reminiscent of industrial and main line railway connections, GWR No. 5553 is pictured alongside Hawthorne Leslie 0-4-0ST Swanscombe No.4 (3718/1928) at Pitsford & Brampton station during the Northampton & Lamport Railway’s gala on August 26. The 2-6-2T is owned by the Waterman Railway Trust and normally based at Peak Rail. As previously reported in The RM, the ironstone tippler wagons have been undergoing restoration and made their operational debut during the event.
