Steam-hauled passenger trains at Westonzoyl­and

GRAHAM Morris’ Kerr Stuart 0-40ST ‘Wren’ Peter Pan has become the first steam locomotive to run on the 2ft gauge running line at Westonzoyl­and Pumping Station Museum.

The Somerset museum’s August 29 gala featured

Peter Pan working passenger rides, initially bunker first but smokebox leading after the loco was turned in the afternoon on the recently installed turntable outside the railway shed.

Westonzoyl­and-based internal combustion locomotive­s were displayed around the site while the museum’s stationary and portable engines provided plenty of non-railway steam.
