Class 56 tour cancelled

A tour planned to run on September 17 to say farewell to the Class 56s, many now owned by GB Railfreight and destined for conversion to Class 69s, was cancelled as the date became denoted a strike day. While the strikes were cancelled after the passing of the Queen, a date for the tour is awaited. There are currently two operational mainline approved 56s – Nos. 56081 and 56098.
