Stalybridge now wired

WORK on electrification of the Manchester-HuddersfieldLeeds route as part of the multi-billion-pound Transpennine Route Upgrade has seen the overhead electric wires installed as far as Stalybridge during November. In March 2023, Stalybridge station will close for 26 days to undergo major upgrades to the track and infrastructure.
