A HAT-TRICK from Rhodri Davies helped Llandovery surpass 50 points for the second time this season as they thumped strugglers Neath at Church Bank.

A clinical attacking performance saw Craig Woodall add to Davies’ haul with two tries as Llandovery edged closer to the Premiership's top five.

Daf Hughes, Jack Maynard and Rhodri Jones completed the rout for the hosts.

The home side scored 21 unanswered points in a blistering opening 30 minutes. Hughes scored the first just four minutes in before Jones added another, eleven minutes later. Davies opened his account for the afternoon in the 26th minute with Jack Maynard three from three with the boot.

Neath hit back late in the first half with a try from Kieran Williams, with Ed Howley converting to reduce the deficit to 21-7.

Llandovery came out with a sense of ruthlessness after the interval and ran in two tries in two minutes. Davies got his second in the 46th minute before Woodall dotted down with Maynard perfect from the tee.

Neath’s Aaron Grabham touched down with thirteen minutes left on the clock, but Davies secured his impressive hat-trick four minutes later. Maynard added the extras before scoring his own try in the 78th minute, which he was able to convert, with Woodall capping off his brace in the dying minutes of the game.
