THERE appears to be no stopping leaders Huddersfie­ld who remain the only unbeaten side following a 49-7 win at Waterloo.

They ran in seven tries through Mike Sharp (2), Elliot Knight, Louis Workman, Tom Owen, Chris Bell plus a penalty try all converted by Bell. Matt Crow went in for the home side in the second half.

Rossendale hang on in second spot, 24-17 winners away at Ilkley. Dominic Moon with two and Tom Jones were the try scorers, all converted by Steve Nutt, who also added a late penalty to seal the win.

Wirral are still third, though they are now under pressure from Hull, who move to within two points having beaten them 38-5. Lee Birch led the way with two tries. Mike Jobling, Alex Hurd, Stuart Nell and Ashley Smith went over for one apiece, Tomasi Tanumi slotting four conversion­s.

Lymm. Joe Evans went in for two with Dan Burns, Tom Briggs and Peter Evans claiming one each. Dan Finney kicked four conversion­s and a penalty. For Lymm, Cormack Nolan scored a try, three penalties and conversion of a try by Zak Lithgoe.

In the final game of the round, Kendal were 36-0 winners at home to Stockport.

Damian Armstrong with two, Chris Downham, Zane Butler, Glen Weightman and Kris Bratton were the try-scorers, with Chris Park landing three conversion­s.
