Sharks in talks with Scots ace Jackson
SALE SHARKS are having talks with Scotland fly-half Ruaridh Jackson about a switch to the North-West from Harlequins.
Jackson has spent only a season at the Stoop after leaving Wasps but could be on his travels again.
The Northamptonborn star started his career with a six-year stint at Glasgow Warriors before heading south.
The Sharks have been desperately trying to line up another fly-half for next season and director of rugby Steve Diamond does have other irons in the fire.
He is being kept in touch with developments about Toby Flood who has been attracting the interest of Newcastle Falcons.
Widnes-born Stephen Myler who played League for his hometown club, St Helens and Salford City Reds, before switching codes is also on their radar.
Myler, 32, is being pushed out of the picture at Franklin’s Gardens by the arrival of Piers Francis.
