HARLEQUINS continue their reign at the top of the Tyrrells Premier 15s table after a big win over local rivals Richmond.

Quins now have eight bonus-point wins from eight after this seven-try effort that saw Jess Breach get a hat-trick in the first half.

Harlequins had a flying start, getting the scoring underway in the first ten minutes with a pass that saw Breach break through the Richmond defence and dive over.

Quins were then penalised for holding on, which saw Richmond kick to touch and begin to press at the attacking 22.

A great interception by Breach saw her bolt the length of the pitch for her second on 15 minutes.

Jess Wooden converted to ensure that Quins got going to establish a 12-0 lead early on.

Less than five minutes later Breach made it three with Wooden adding the conversion.

With just over half-anhour on the clock, Breach couldn’t be stopped and added her fourth and final try of the match. Wooden converted once more and the score was 0-26.

Wooden switched up the scoring, adding another try to make it 31-0 at the break.

Quns flew out the blocks after the interval with Holly Myers getting the scoring underway with just a minute on the clock as she broke the Richmond defence and raced away.

Richmond got themselves off the mark through Jade Wong, making the score 5-36 with just over ten minutes to go.

Georgia Gray rounded off the scoring for the league leaders with Wooden converting once again to make the final score 43-5 to the visitors.
