Two-year drug ban
JOSEPH Stokes of Matson RFC has been suspended for two years from all sport after testing positive for Benzolecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.
The scrum-half was tested following Matson’s 25-20 South West One West defeat to Clevedon on March 11, 2017. The period of ineligibility has been applied from the date of the provisional suspension March 31, 2017 to March 30, 2019.
The independent panel consisted of David Casement QC (chair), Dr Mike Irani and Carole Billington-Wood.
