Forgotten Billy is leading from front

-

GLOUCESTER head coach Johan Ackerman was delighted with the win.

He said: “We lacked intensity and accuracy at times but to lift ourselves after Saracens and Newcastle and get another five points maintains momentum.”

Forgotten England centre Billy Twelvetrees gave a reminder of his talents.

“Billy’s leading from the front with his professionalism,” said Ackerman. “He gives us a lot of good things and he’s embraced the goalkicking as well.”

Gloucester’s young back row also set the tone, Ackermann adding: “They were brilliant and knowing we have experienced guys like Ben Morgan and Ross Moriarty to come back will mean massive selection headaches.”

Two-try Billy Burns said: “We’re trying to play a bit more of an open game, giving our backs chances.”

Gloucester are up to second, but Burns cautioned: “We haven’t achieved anything yet.”

Willi Heinz was up and about afterwards. Ackermann confirmed: “He wasn’t knocked out and he won’t be out for weeks.”
