Pivac has had good news from the Wales camp with hooker Ryan Elias and flanker James Davies available to him this weekend.

Steffan Hughes captains the Scarlets from centre with Dan Jones alongside Evans at No.10. Tadhg Beirne is on the blindside. JONATHAN Evans hasn’t had much game time with the Scarlets this season, but he is looking forward to being very busy over the next few weeks.

The 25-year-old scrumhalf, who has to battle Wales stars Gareth and Aled Davies in Llanelli, has had only seven league outings this season because of an ankle injury.

Now he is one of the first names on Wayne Pivac’s team sheet as the Scarlets hit the road to face Benetton and Leinster six days later.

Pivac has up to 25 players missing due to internatio­nal call-ups and injuries, but Evans believes last season’s PRO12 winners can stay in the hunt to repeat that glory.

“We believe 100 per cent we can hold on to our title. We knew last year just how important this block of fixtures was and there was only one game we didn’t come back with a result,” said Evans.
