- By BEN RODEN

OLD Redcliffians continued a fine run of form, scoring seven tries in a big win over Barnstaple to lift themselves out of the bottom three for the first time this season.

Both sides looked to run the ball and after early exchanges the hosts were on the board, Scott Coster scooping up a loose ball to touch down.

A second home try followed, Jermaine Jones taking an inside pass after a sweeping move to double the lead.

Great hands and a neat switch saw Alex Harvey over next, Kieran Hill converting.

Barnstaple responded and worked hard, Jake Murphy landing a penalty.

Just before the break, winger Henry Bird extended the advantage, crossing in the corner, Murphy adding a late penalty to make it 27-6 at half-time.

Barum threw everything into attack in the second half but Reds scored first, Robbie Smith dotting down after a hack through.

The visitors enjoyed a period of pressure and replacement Mike Peak scored in the corner, with No.8 Danny Southworth also going over, sandwiching a Hill penalty.

The game opened up and the Reds retook control; Hill added another penalty and supported a move to score under the posts, converting himself.

With a minute to go Reds pressed and Scott Parsons crashed over, with Hill adding the extras for a welldeserved win.
