WORCESTER failed to banish their relegation worries and boss Alan Solomons said: “The 15 minutes before half-time killed us and if you turn over ball against a quality side like Wasps, you pay the price.

“We were on the back foot for large parts, Wasps have X-factor players and we’ve got to work hard now ahead of a massive game against Harlequins.”

Wasps stalwart James Haskell reckons his side can claim the title. He said: “When you see the way we can perform and the talent in our backline, I believe we have a championship in us. It’s now about decisionmaking, being ruthless at the right times and doing the boring bits very well.”

Yellow card aside, back rower Jack Willis impressed. Haskell added: “He’s great over the ball and you’d think he’s knocking on England’s door.”

Danny Cipriani passed his HIA, but Dai Young said: “He completed all the protocols but after a knock at Sale last week it was my decision to take him off.”

Christian Wade’s double took his league tally to ten. Young added: “By his own admission he’s had a flat spell but he’s back to his electric best.”
