Felinfoel crash to Dunvant for first defeat

FELINFOEL failed to take advantage of the postponeme­nts in One West as they slipped to a 31-17 defeat at

Dunvant – their first defeat of the season.

Lawrence Holcombe added to a penalty try while Aled Roberts kicked the rest but Dunvant were in ruthless form as they ran in five tries.

Sam Hawkes, Mark Robins, Ben Ley, Robbie Morris and Adam Gregory all crashed over to hand Dunvant their second win in four games.

Adam Williams added three conversion­s to end Felinfoel’s winning streak.

Felinfoel kept their place at the top but Dunvant are now just 11 points further back with two games in hand. In One West Central,

Glynneath’s winning run extended to a fifth game with a 19-10 success over Brynamman.

Jack O’Reilly was the architect of the victory with four penalties as well as the conversion to Aled Evans’ try.

Osian Evans replied for Brynamman while Craig Jones kicked the rest.

However, they are one point off the top following

Bonymaen’s 15-7 win over Skewen, although Glynneath have a game in hand.

Rumney are the new One East Central leaders after beating Glamorgan Wanderers 28-17 to knock them off the top.

Tyler Mahoney, Callum McDonald and Solomon Matthews and a penalty try handed Rumney maximum points while Reagen Mahoney added the remaining six points with his boot.

Will Adams-Jones, Ross Pritchard and Max Wooton replied for the Wanderers with Luke Fish bagging a conversion.

Brynmawr are now four points clear at the top of One East following their 3815 triumph over Cwmbran.

Stewart Davis, Adam Lane, Ben Papp, Damien Hudd and Ryan Gardner inspired the WRU National Plate champions to victory while Liam Butler kicked 13 points.
