Bath will click soon insists Wilson

TWO-TRY winger Jack Wilson believes Bath are not far away from getting it right.

Following their second successive Premiership Cup defeat the New Zealander said: “We are hurting because all the work we’ve been putting in isn’t being transferred ito wins.

“The penalty count was quite high but that’s because this group of players who have come together for this competition are excited to get their hands on the ball. They are eager and that’s causing mistakes.

“But we are not far away and when we click it’s only going to get better. I’m looking forward to when it all comes together because I know it will.”

General manager Stuart Hooper added: “Our defensive play on our line was outstanding. We showed a real willingness to play but let ourselves down with a few errors.”

Exeter head coach Ricky Pellow, delighted with the combination of experience and youthful promise which saw the Chiefs follow up last weekend’s draw at Newcastle with a win, said: “We are in a strong position going into the Harlequins game at home next week.

“It’s in our hands now and if we can get the win at home it will push us into the last group game against Bristol.”
