It’s like a morgue in there – Boyd

-

CHRIS Boyd admitted the Northampton dressing room resembled “a morgue” after Dylan Hartley’s 250th Saints appearance was ruined by Mark Wilson.

England flanker Wilson went from helping his country smash Australia at Twickenham to silencing the Franklin’s Gardens faithful with his injury time winning try.

Unhappy director or rugby Boyd, whose side got a losing bonus point and are still ninth in the table, groaned: “It’s a bitter pill to swallow because we were in control for most of the time but were not clinical enough.

“We should have put the game to bed by half-time but did not turn our pressure and possession into more tries.

“You can imagine the dressing room is like a morgue at the moment, but we have to refocus ready for the European games.”

Scrum-half Cobus Reinach said: “We want to play good, attacking rugby but we were too inaccurate when it mattered. I love scoring tries but it’s not so good when we lose.”
