Century maker Ben can toast a good day

Rams ................ 36 O Albanian ...... 21

- By CAMERON TEMPLE

RAMS got a revenge victory over OAs with four unanswered tries before the break.

With the Rams securing their bonus point by halftime, both sides traded tries in the second half, but ultimately they had done enough to secure a comfortable victory.

Head coach Seb Reynolds was delighted with the victory, following disappointment in the reverse fixture.

He said: “Albanians really did a number on us last time, but it wasn’t so much a matter of revenge today. It was improving on what we’ve built so far in 2019.

“In hindsight, this game couldn’t have come at a better time, coming off the back of a huge derby day victory. We had a point to prove against these guys, and I believe we proved that point.”

The most notable of the first-half tries came as the game approached the 40minute mark. Jack Steadman found a gap and offloaded to Louis Wolf, who turned his opposite man to take the ball over the line and secure the bonus point.

The game opened up in the second half with five tries being scored, one of which came from Ben Henderson. It was fitting given it was his 100th appearance for the Rams.

At the end, OAs thad nothing to show for their valiant effort in the second half as the Rams further stretched their winning streak.
