Newcastle skipper Flood gave everything and tried his best to unleash his back division at every opportunity. But he had limited success as his team’s pack came off second best. Goosen was given an armchair ride by the Montpellier forwards and showed his class with a perfectly timed pass for Timoci Nagusa’s opening try. He was also regularly involved in Montpellier attacks.
